Facts about Ecology Surveys

SHARE

Ecology surveys give a form of a snapshot view of the ecological situation in which a particular place looks like at a particular time. What are the purposes of this idea? The purposes are represented with the two points mentioned below:

·         Documentation of any difference between the current vegetation  of  sections of the project site that are managed differently

·         Observation of how each of these sections changes from year to year.

This concept has different aspects and some of them Ecological Assessments, invasive plant species, protected species, river corridor, botanical, Hedgerow and so on.

Ecology is derived from a Greek word, which means "environment" or "house".  It is a branch of biology that is focused on the interactions between the environment and the organisms living there.  The objects in focus under ecology survey include both biotic and abiotic components of organisms in their individual environment.

These organisms do interact and ecology surveys seek to measure or study the results or outcomes of such interactions.  The survey considers various things like the population of the organism, the biomass, distribution, and biodiversity.  The concept equally looks into the cooperation or agreement between species and how they compete with one another.

Ecology surveys equally study the ecosystem, which showcases the dynamic interaction among systems of organisms and their communities, as well as, the nonliving components of that system.  It focuses on various aspects of the ecosystem processes, like niche construction, nutrient cycling, pedogenesis, and primary production. Also, the concept studies the regulation of the flux of matter and energy through an environment.  It understudies how the processes are sustained via the current dominant organisms and their specific life history traits.

Ecology surveys never overlook the place of importance of biodiversity and its components, like ecosystems, genes, and species.  The study addresses the full scale of life including the tiniest bacteria and the various processes spanning the entire universe.

There is no agreement between ecology and other areas of study like environmental science, natural history, and environmentalism. However, ecology usually overlaps certain areas of study, like ethology, genetics, and evolutionary biology.  Among those championing the case of ecology surveys are ecologists and they are focused on improving the understanding of ecological function is affected by biodiversity.

Ecologists use the results obtained from ecology surveys to explain the following
·         Life adaptations, interactions, and processes.
·         The movement of energy and materials through living communities
·         Ecosystems succession development
·         The distribution and abundance of biodiversity and organisms in the environmental context

The knowledge derived from ecology surveys can help the ecologists in various fields like natural resource management, wetland management, and conservation biology. It is equally applicable to other areas, like human social interaction, applied science, basic science, economics and community health.  The concept in question is equally applicable to evolutionary concepts that relate to the natural selection and evolutionary concepts.
