Islamic frames make for a lovely, thoughtful gift one can give to a loved one. An enlightening ayat from the Quran written in a calligraphic style and framed neatly can also be a frequent, spiritual reminder of the Beautiful Message of Allah.

With the abundance of varieties, from digital prints and wall decals to metal frames and decorative plates, the buyer has a lot to choose from in case he or she is looking for Islamic frames wall hangings online.

When we present a work of Islamic art, it’s best to gift one with an ayat suitable for the occasion or the relationship you share with the recipient of the gift.

Gift for Parents

The Glorious Quran is full of instructions to be kind to our parents, and to obeytheir demands in so far as they do not contradict the Message of Allah.

The Book commands us to soften our tone when we talk to them, particularly when they have reached old age, and if have to disagree with them, we must do so with utmost politeness and humility. That’s because when we were small and helpless, they looked after us, laboured hard and made many sacrifices so that we can live a good childhood. All by the Grace and Permission of Allah, of course.

The Quran also prescribes a supplication for parents – ‘Rabbirhamhumakamarabbaynisagheera’ (“Oh Lord! Bestow mercy on my parents as they took care of me when I was small.”)  - Verse 24 of Chapter 17 (Surah Al Isra).

Undoubtedly, we must recite the above dua, with purity and sincerity of intention, and be good and kind to them always. This is not a child’s favour for his parents, but a duty ordained by Allah.

And if we one wants to present a gift to his parents on their respective birthdays, or their marriage anniversary, the Quranic supplication for parents written in a calligraphic font should certainly make them happy.

Gift for couples on wedding day

Marriage is a crucial part of one’s journey that can either give us peace, comfort and joy, or deprive of the same. For the sake of us being able to succeed in marriage, the Quran specifies instructions for couples:

“They (your wives) are a garment for you and you too are a garment for them."  - Chapter 2, Verse187

As a garment shields us and covers any bodily injuries or marks, so must a husband and wife shield one another and cover each other’s faults from the world.

“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.”- Chapter 30, Verse 21

In a stressful world, a husband and a wife should provide each other comfort and mercy. Allah has made it easy for us by placing mercy and affection in the hearts of spouses for each other.

The above two verses transcribed in calligraphic font and printed on canvas or paper or plate can make for a beautiful gift for a newlywed couple or even a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary.
