How to download your e-Aadhaar card online

Follow these steps to access your e-Aadhaar card online.

  • Visit the UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/
  • Navigate to the ‘Download Aadhaar’ section once you click on ‘My Aadhaar’
  • Authenticate your identity via your Aadhaar number, enrolment ID or virtual ID
  • Enter the appropriate number in the fields provided. For example, if you select to verify your identity via a virtual ID, enter your 16-digit VID
  • Enter the CAPTCHA code
  • Click ‘Send OTP’ or ‘TOTP’ if you prefer to use the mAadhaar app
  • Enter the code and click on ‘Verify and Download’
  • To open the document that you have downloaded, enter the 8-character password that comprises the first 4 letters of your name followed by your year of birth
