4) KuariTapovan

in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, the Tapovan area is considered very
sacred by the local Hindus. It houses many rare flora and fauna such as the
elusive snow leopard, the musk deer etc. At an altitude of 4264 metres above
sea level, Kuari Pass is considered a moderate trek and can even be attempted
by beginners.
5) Nanda

located in the Garhwal region, Nanda Devi is the highest peak of that region.
The area around the peak is designated as a biosphere reserve that goes by the
name of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The
park houses very rare Himalayan plant and animal species and trekking through
it is a treat in itself.
6) Goecha
La Trek
Located
in the Indian state of Sikkim, the Goecha La trek makes one face to face with
the highest peak in India and the third highest peak in the world, Mt.
Kanchenjunga. It is regarded as a challenging trek but it also offers pristine
views of mountains, blue lakes, rhododendron forests and clear skies. The view
of the mighty Himalayan peaks from Dzongri makes the whole trek worthwhile. It
is one of the best trekking tours you can undertake in India.
7) Valley
of Flowers
Post
winter and during spring, the whole valley of Garhwal is carpeted with flowers
of various colours like the Tiger Lily, Himalayan Blue Poppy, Balsam etc. Many
of these flowers and plants have medicinal properties and are so rare that they
are not found anywhere else in the whole world. The best time to trek the
valley of flowers is from July to August. Valley of flowers has accommodation
facilities just outside the entrance and that makes it one of the best
trekking camps in India.
